1. PURPOSE AND CONTROLLER
This policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on www.kaneoriginal.com, operated by Don Lamino Group (DLG) Sàrl, UID CHE-270.508.210, Chemin De-Maisonneuve 12 b, 1219 Châtelaine, Geneva, Switzerland.
It supplements the privacy policy, which describes data received through forms, recipients, processing countries, retention periods and data subjects’ rights.

2. WHAT IS A COOKIE?
A cookie is a small file placed on a device when a website is used. It allows information to be stored and retrieved while browsing or on a subsequent visit.
A session cookie is intended for temporary use. A persistent cookie remains stored for a defined period or until the user deletes it, subject to how the browser operates.
Mechanisms other than cookies may also store or read information on a device or recognise it. They must be considered according to how they actually work, even if they have a different name.
3. NO ADVERTISING OR BEHAVIOURAL TRACKING
The website does not use advertising cookies, advertising pixels or technology intended to track visitors across multiple websites.
It does not use audience measurement tools based on tracking individual visitors or build behavioural profiles from their browsing.
Browsing the website and submitting forms are not used to create an advertising profile or automatically subscribe visitors to promotional communications.
4. CURRENT WEBSITE CONFIGURATION
The current version of the website does not set advertising cookies or load audience measurement tools. It uses browser local storage to remember the choice made in the information notice.
Exact name: kane-cookie-notice-v1.
Provider: Kane Original; stored in the browser on the website’s domain.
Technical purpose: remember closure of the notice and the visitor’s choice so it is not shown again on every visit.
Stored information: closure date (closedAt) and selected choice (choice).
Period during which the choice is recognised: 180 days. After this period the notice is shown again; the record can be deleted through the browser settings.
Accepting the notice does not activate any tracking tool. Your choice is also saved when you decline. You can delete this record from your browser’s website data; the notice will then appear on your next visit.
5. TECHNICAL DATA AND FORMS
A technical cache also stores public video files in the browser to speed up playback and navigation between pages. It contains no form messages or visitor identifiers. Files are replaced when updated; this cache can be removed through the browser’s website data settings.
A website may process data without setting cookies, including the IP address needed for the connection. Operational or security logs are covered by the processing described in the privacy policy.
Information you send us in a contact or partnership enquiry is used to respond to you, independently of whether cookies are used.
The absence of advertising tracking therefore does not mean that no personal data is processed.
6. MANAGEMENT IN YOUR BROWSER
Your browser’s privacy settings generally allow you to view stored cookies, delete them and block their storage. The names and options vary by browser and version.
Deletion affects information stored in the relevant browser. It does not automatically delete a message already sent to DLG or data held on servers; requests relating to that data must be sent to info@kaneoriginal.com.

If no cookies are used, there are no website cookies to delete or allow.

Links on the website may lead to pages operated by others, including Alive Studio’s website, credited for creating the website.
Cookies and technologies used on those external pages are governed by their own policies. Choices made on one website do not necessarily apply to other websites or browsers.
8. CHANGES TO THE TOOLS USED
If new cookies or services are added, their purposes, providers and retention periods will be described in an updated version of this policy.
